243,742. Whittingham, G. H. July 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Ribbon resistances, cored. - A resistance unit comprises a flat metal bar a provided with insulating members r grooved to fit the bar and interlocking therewith, the members r completely enclosing the bar and having threads 2 in their outer surfaces to receive an edgewound coil of flat resistance material. The members r are preferably porcelain and may be made in short pieces. Terminal connections and connectors for parallel coils constructed according to Specifiation 236,898 may be used with the units.
