Abstract

243,678. Rohrbogenwerk Ges. Nov. 28, 1924, [Convention date]. Pipes and tubes.- Apparatus for straightening the ends of pipe bends comprises a pair of semi-cylindrical jaws between w h i c h the curved end of the pipe bend is gripped and a mandrel adapted to be forced into the end of the pipe whilst gripped between the jaws. The pipe bend m is supported on a base plate a against an adjustable bracket k and stop l, and the end gripped between a fixed jaw b and movable jaw c which is actuated by a lever d or other means. A reciprocatory mandrel g of the same diameter as the inside of the pipe is then forced into the pipe end.
