Condenser telephones.-The local circuit of a condenser telephone 4 is tuned within the frequency range (40-600) of incoming oscillations, and for this purpose the capacity exceeds 0.04 mf., and the inductance 2 is variable. When it is desired to include the lower frequencies, condensers having plates of thickness between 1/3000 and 1/1500 of an inch are employed. Specification 227,561 is referred to.
