Abstract
242,638. Soc. Anon. des Etablissements Leflaive, and Knecht, J. J. Nov. 5, 1924, [Convention date]. Braiding-machines.- Relates to lace machines in which the bobbins are driven by centre discs 3 and consists in locating the securing means such as the nut 10 on the centre spindle in a hollowed out part of the centre disc below the level of the top plate 2. By this means it is possible to have the bobbin carriers proportionately larger or the carrier drive heads proportionately smaller since the edges of the bobbin carrier shoes 12, 14 may extend nearly to the axis of the carrier drive head. The arms 11 of the centre discs may extend above the level of the race plate 2 so as to act on both shoes 12, 14. Intermittent movement is imparted to the bobbins by sleeves 7 sliding on squared parts of shafts 8 and engaged with or disengaged from teeth 6<1> on continuously rotating intermeshing gearwheels 6 by jacquard action.
