Abstract

Threads spun from viscose which has been ripened to a salt point of 0,1--0,2 or lower, according to the process described in the parent Specification, are desulphurized by bringing them to a raised temperature, e.g., above 60 DEG C. for a short time during acidification or washing. Examples are given in which desulphurization takes place during acidification.
