Abstract

241,696. Whitley, A. A., and Simpson, A. E. Oct. 6, 1924. Tentering.-A tentering-chain link pin 1 having an axial wick passage 12 and cross passages 14 for the lubricant, is screwthreaded only at its upper part 2 to screw into the upper of the two lugs 4 of a link 5, and has cross-notches 15 at its bottom end to facilitate the entry of lubricant to the wick. The pin has a concave groove 16 across its head and a central recess 12 to accommodate a correspondingly formed screwdriver, and is notched at intervals 18 round its head to engage a locking screw 17.
