Cotters and pins for cottering.-A cotter pin comprises two independent members 3, 4 each having a straight portion 5 notched at one end. and provided at the other end with a curved head portion 6 which interlocks with the notched portion of the opposite member, when the two members are reversely positioned in a hole. The straight portions 5, 5 are semicylindrical in section, and the head portions 6, 6 are flared and recessed at their free ends to form spring tongues.
