Abstract
238,592. Richardson, F. S. May 14, 1924. Garden and crop sprayers.-Apparatus for adding soap or other insecticide to water delivered by a hose consists of an outer cylindrical chamber b and an inner chamber e adapted to receive a renewable cartridge g of solid or semisolid insecticide. The cylinder b is provided with a hose connection c, a filtering gauze b', and a spraying device d. The inner chamber e rests on supports with an annular space f around it, the arrangement being such that the water takes the course indicated by the arrows. The inner chamber may be dispensed with, and the insecticide may be in the form of balls &c. The insecticide mav be rotated by the water, a hood k being provided over the inlet to divert the water. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1592/75, 13031/84, [Class 47, Fire, Extinction &c. of], 5053/04, 16888/07, [Class 47, Fire, Extinction &c. of], 286/15, and 8912/15, [Class 47 (ii), Fire-extinguishing &c.].
