Abstract

Lubricating-cans. - A lubricating-can comprises a tube a provided with a screwed closure c at one end and carrying on the other end a tapering nozzle b, the bore of the nozzle being normally closed by a valve cone g carried by a needle f projecting through the nozzle and pressed against its seat by a spring d abutting against the screw c. The needle and spring are formed in one piece from a single length of wire. When the needle is pressed against a part k to be lubricated, drops of oil issue from the nozzle. The can is similar in shape to a magazine pencil.
