Blades and vanes. - Hollow blades for water turbines, more particularly of the Francis type, are formed of two metal sheets 5, 6 which are fitted in or cast in at opposite sides to the stator or rotor, and are joined together at their front and rear edges 7, by autogenous electric welding.
