Abstract
237,921. Benjamin Electric, Ltd., (Assignees of Warner, C. E.). Aug. 2, 1924, [Convention date]. Vibration-dampers.-A shock-absorbing device for thermionic valves comprises a wiring base with a number of symmetrically disposed, upright, resilient column members 14 yieldingly supporting a holder 11 and permitting lateral and longitudinal movement of the holder with respect to the base. Electrode engaging contacts 13 are secured on the holder by eyelets 15 in which the members 14 are seated. The members 14 are hollow for the passage of conductors 18 connecting the wiring base terminals with the eyelets, and they may be of tubular rubber as shown in Fig. 2, or may comprise coiled springs 21, Fig. 4, in which case the springs are connected to the base terminals by metal plates 22 and carry the current. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises the application of the shock-absorbing devices to electrical apparatus generally. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
