Attaching files to covers.-The base-plate 1 of a filing-mechanism 3, 4 is detachably connected to a cover 9 by studs 8 passing through the parts 1, 9 and secured by wedges 7 adapted to pass through a slot in the stem of the stud. The studs may be circular, oval, polygonal, or star-shaped in section, the holes in the parts 1, 9 being made to correspond. The holes 6 formed in the base plate 1 by stamping up the bearing lugs 5 may be utilized.
