Abstract
268,837. Hoffmann, A. April 3, 1926, [Convention date]. Protectors, securing. - Detachable heel lifts 1, Fig. 2, of rubber secured to aluminium or like flanged holders 4 by an inturned flange 2, are further held by extensions 8 passing upwards through a recess 7 in the holder to the underside of the heel. The holder is provided with a bridge piece 9 which acts as a wedge to hold the projections 8 against the edges of the holder. In a modification, Fig. 6, a circular extension 8 is squeezed through an orifice in the holder 4 and expands above it. In another modification, Fig. 4, the extension 8 is expanded by a projection 10 on a bridge piece 9.
