Abstract

237,744. Hansen, G. A. Sept. 1, 1924. Clutches, claw. - A one-revolution clutch for use in a postmarking machine comprises a member 20 provided on its lower face with teeth 27 whereby it may be coupled to a driving- shaft 22, and on its upper face with helical or wedge-shaped teeth 29 in constant engagement with teeth on a postmarking roller 25. The member 20 is moved axially against the action of a spring 26 to disengage the clutch by the engagement of a bevelled portion 30 on the end of an arm 2 of a stop lever with a lug 21 on the part 20. The ends of the spring 26 are fixed to the member 20 and roller 25 respectively. Specification 221,570, [Class 100 (ii), Printing processes &c.], is referred to.
