Tyre attachments to rims. - A pneumatic tyre, stated to be particularly for racing purposes, is formed by wrapping narrow strips of cord or cord fabric 5 around an air-tube 4 and the rim 2, the tube being uncured or partly valcanized. applying tread rubber 6 and finally vulcanizing. Rubber strips may be applied to the side walls, and also between the tube and wrapping adjacent the rim edges. The wrapping is preferably formed by winding a series of plies in opposite directions. The rim is of crescent-section and may be formed of metal or wood, and may be hollow.
