Abstract

236,633. Hammond, H. W. April 8, 1924. Coagulating latex.-A saccharine solution, preferably obtained from cane sugar molasses by diluting with water, clarifying and boiling to check fermentation, is added to rubber latex, and the mixture is boiled to effect a coagulation of the rubber. Suitable proportions are 13¢ oz. saccharine solution (S.G. 1.008) to 3 gals. of latex.
