Abstract

235,628. Thomas, W. March 17, 1924. Buckles.-A fastening device for a surgical tourniquet having a band consisting of rubber tubing consists of a member 3 having a grooved spigot portion 4 to be inserted in and secured to one end of the rubber tube 1, and formed with an opening 7 for the passage of the free end of the tube 1 and within which is pivoted a cam 8. The gripping surface 9 of the cam is formed concave to fit the surface of the tube. A finger piece 10 and projection 11 on the cam serve as stops to limit its movement in either direction.
