Abstract

235,400. Berkeley & Young, Ltd., and Gilbert, N. W. June 28, 1924. Guards.-The rear ring b of a detachable rotary fan guard a is received in settings d in radial supporting-arms c and is secured therein by the ends e' of catches e mounted on the arms c by rivets e<3> or other permanent pivots. The catches can be swung aside, as shown in Fig. 4, to free the guard. When the catches are in operative position, springy tail portions e<2> engage the arms c to lock them in place. The parts e<2> can be bent over, as shown, and provided with notches conforming to the arms, or may have studs, projections, recesses, or holes engaging recesses or studs on the arms.
