Abstract

235,333. Jones, S. F. March 31, 1924. Rearing-appliances.-A brooder is heated by a heat producer contained within a hood H which is provided with an outlet pipe C passing into the brooder and opening into a wider return pipe R by which the products of combustion from the heat producer are conveyed to the exterior of the brooder. The pipe R forms a radiator and is covered with felt or flannel R<2>. It is arranged along the middle line of the brooder near the floor. The brooder is mounted on legs B and may be provided with a removable cover L and with an adjustable floor F, or with false floors.
