Abstract

233,917. Bakels, H. A. June 27, 1924. Dressings; catamenial appliances. - An absorptive dressing is prepared by subjecting unsized cellulose paper, crape cellulose paper, or blotting paper to a brushing, barking or scraping action while dry. The resulting non-coherent fibrous down is stated to exert, mechanically, a styptic effect. The absorbent material may be used in sanitary napkins.
