Abstract

233,586. Barwick, D. W. Sept. 13, 1924. Castings, extracting.- Ingots are extracted from their moulds by a device comprising a parallelogram linkage A, B, C, D provided with a hoisting shackle E and a pivoted member F for bearing on the top of the ingot G. The side pivots M are connected by hooks H to the mould. Stops may be provided on the links to limit the angular deformation of the parallelogram and members unessential to the stability of the structure may be replaced by chains.
