Abstract
233,045. Bullimore, W. R. Feb. 1, 1924. Vacuum tubes. - The electrodes of a valve are assembled by mounting a number of supports in a re-entrant foot or tube, connecting two of the supports by a filament, and forming one or more electrodes with means such as sockets engaging over and abutting the ends of the supports so as to determine the position of the electrodes relatively to the ends of the supports. The filament a is secured to supports b mounted in the foot c, and the grid f and anode e are provided with tubular sockets h, g of different standard internal lengths, which fit over pins i previously mounted in the foot and cut off so that the distances between their inner ends and the ends of the filament are of standard dimensions. The sockets may be secured by spot welding. The electrodes may be of archshape as described in Specification 197,853.
