Rolling-machines.-A roller briquette press of the type including a smaller roller rotating eccentrically within a larger, comprises a smaller toothed roller rotating within a larger roller having a smooth concave inner surface. As shown, the larger roller d, mounted upon a shaft b, is formed with an inner concave surface z and cooperates with a toothed roller e mounted upon a shaft c disposed eccentrically of the shaft b. A shaft a drives the shafts b, e through gearing and material is fed into the press by a screw f driven from the shaft e. A slide v, Fig. 7, beneath the hopper, controlled by a hand-lever v<1>, regulates the feed. Escape of material is prevented by a cover plate i. The moulded strip of briquettes is detached and broken by a curved member o', Figs. 3 and 4, forming the upper end of a delivery guide o. A modification is described in which the roller e is resiliently mounted.
