Moulding dough.-Dough is.fed from a hopper h into moulds in a rotary drum a by means of feedrolls i driven from the main shaft j through variable-speed gearing. The dough is maintained under a constant pressure by means of a plunger l, pressed downwards by means of a counterweighted lever m. A cam-actuated lever intermittently raises the lever m and releases it when one of the moulds is in alinement with the hopper ; or the plunger l may press continuously upon the dough. The moulds in the drum a are fitted with flanges b carrying rollers e adapted to engage with cams c, d, which respectively adjust the capacity of the moulds and effect the discharge of the divided dough portions. The rotary drum a may be replaced by a reciprocating mould-carrier, and the ram l may be mounted horizontally.
