Abstract

232,365. Pochin, R. F., and Pochin, H. S. Feb. 14, 1924. Continuous-discharge apparatus, rotary; gases, controlling direction of flow of.-Stone &c. to be heated and dried, passes from a hopper F through an annular and divided space formed between rotary cylinders G, H and is subjected to the products of combustion of furnaces D. The products pass from the furnaces into a casing E and are withdrawn by a fan M2 which forces them through a pipe N1 into the inner cylinder, and they are withdrawn through pipes J passing through the annular space by a fan M and discharged into the stack M1. The dried material passes into a box G2 having a shoot G3 and a pipe connection D with a fan by which dust-laden gas is withdrawn from the box and discharged to a cyclone separator, the dust passing from the separator to the shoot.
