Abstract

232,293. Wilson, G. C. Jan. 5, 1924. Siphons are fitted at the inlet end with a strainer suspended in the liquid by a float 10, Fig. 3, and comprising a gauze member 2 weighted at 3 and provided with a removable cap 4, which supports a wire helix 7 round which is tied a fabric bag 9. The delivery end of the siphon is provided with an air-exhausting pump 12, Fig. 4, having a nozzle 18 to which the siphon tube is connected and a delivery nozzle 19 fitted with a non-return valve 22.
