Abstract

231,461. BenzonaftÞne. March 28, 1924, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Ink.-Liquid hydrocarbons prepared as described in Specifications 231,157 and 231,459. [both in Class 32, Distilling &c.], are distilled to form fractions which are separately purified and again distilled. The residue from the distillation of the heavier fractions and heavy oil. obtained as distillate from the fractions are mixed with manganese dioxide and colophony to yield a siccative oil similar to boiled linseed oil. This siccative may be mixed with lampblack to form printers' ink.
