Abstract

229,928. Kovacs, T. July 17, 1924. Reservoir pens.-In a fountain pen adapted to be filled without removal or manipulation of the nib-section or its - associated parts, the air-discharge duct K and the filling- channel M are arranged on the upper and under sides respectively of the feed-bar T. The ink in the channel M passes into the reservoir through transverse circumferential passages Q in the feedbar at a point where the duct K is sufficiently wide to prevent choking by the inflowing ink. The duct K has a comparatively wide mouth B which is automatically closed by the ink in case excess air is admitted to the reservoir -during writing.
