Description

2297120 1 UTILITY MODEL This utility model relates to a fastener for
necklaces, essentially characterized by its special simplicity which allows to fasten the necklace just at its front part, i.e., by the area which will remain located on the breast or on the throat of the person who is bearing it, characterized, in addition, by the fact that it may always remain located under the ornament parts which constitute the front hook of the necklace and that will keep it completely hidden, with the obvious advantage of aesthetic type it means.
is Up to now, most of the necklaces possess the fasteners arranged so that, once the collar is closed, said fastener is arranged at the rear part of neck of the person who uses it, because the fasteners are not sufficiently aesthetic.
The fastener object of this utility model offers a new possibility, because it allows its location at the front part of the person who uses the necklace, either on the breast or on the throat, depending on the length and type of the necklace.
However, the fact that it remains located at this front part of the user, does not make it visible but its arrangement makes it remains hidden under suitable ornament elements which could be the ornament motives of the necklace itself, with which a great value aesthetic embodiment is achieved.
The fastener for necklaces of front arrangement which is disclosed, has been illustrated, as a practical embodiment example, in the attached drawings, in which:
The figure 1, is a side cross section at significant scale of the fastener which shows its different components.
The figure 2 is a view, corresponding to the preceding one, of the fastener seen front underneath, showing also the position of its components.
The figure 3, is a detail of a fastener of necklace open in a practical embodiment.
The figure 4, is a view of the embodiment illustrated in the figure 3 but in this front position, i.e., as it is situated on the breast or throat of the person who uses it, showing which way the fastening elements remain hidden.
2 Finally, the figure 5 is a detail of another practical embodiment of necklace fastener, based on the existence of a single ornament element.
Following the drawings the essential characteristics of the necklace fastener object of this utility model are shown.
The mentioned fastener is constituted by a flat bottom 1, on the lower face of which remain situated two parallel protruding wings 2 which constitute the support of the through shaft 3 on which a lever 4 tilts, linked to said shaft by another wing 5, a lever which possesses at its end a hooking finger 6 on the male part of the fastener.
Around the shaft 3 remains situated an extending spring 7 which allows to locate the lever 4 with its rear end 4' separated from the flat bottom 1 and the opposite end, the front one with the hooking finger 6 tightly supported on the internal face of mentioned flat bottom 1.
llis area of the fastener being arranged so, it shall be introduced through the mouthpiece, flanged with a O-ring 8 which the flat bottom 1, possesses the hook 9 of the male part of the fastener, a hooking device provided, in turn and at its end, with a through hole 10 in the interior of which the finger 6 is introduced the locking of the two parts which compose the fastener remaining so completed and guaranteed.
Said hooking device 9 generally constituted by a flat sheet conveniently profiled, as it can be seen in the figure 2, ends in the known locking end elements 11 of the first row of pearls 12 of a necklace, as it is represented in the example.
On the other hand, the fastener area which possesses the flat bottom 1 remains hidden as said plate is preferably located on the back of the ornament element, as it is shown in the figures 3 and 4.
In the example represented in the figure 3, the bottom plate 1 is locked to the back of an ornament part which represents two hearts 13 and 14, tangential to each other, and in this case, reinforced by means of an artistic embossment 15 which guarantees their joint. In this example, it can be considered that the bottom plate 1 is an integral part of the ornament part itself (13 and 14). The other end of the 3 necklace will remain locked to one part of the second heart 14, a necklace of pearls in the example represented, by means of known locking end elements 16.
In another example of embodiment, represented in the figure 5, the fastening bottom 1 is located under the flange 17 which surrounds an ornament part 18, which is, in this example, also a heart while the other end of the necklace will be locked on the end of said flange, also by means of known locking end elements (10 and 9).
According to above description, and based on the essential characteristics of the front fastener for necklaces object of this model, its use will be carried out in following way:
The person will put on the necklace provided with the front fastener around her neck, locating the fastener area on her breast and operating with one of her hands the part of the flat bottom, pressing the end 4' of the lever 4, with which the hooking finger 6 will be taken apart after getting over the resistance of the extension spring 7. At same time, with the other hand, the user will proceed to introduce the hook 9 of the male part of the fastener through the 0-ring 8, until the through hole 10 remains located under said hooking finger 6, a moment in which the pressure on the end 4' of the lever 4 will stop, this later returning then to its initial position thanks to the action of said spring 7, with which the hooking finger 6 will be placed in the interior of the through hole 10 of the hooking device 9 and will prevent then the exit from this later, fully guaranteeing the safety of the fastener locking.
Ilie fastener opening, by the user, when she wishes to take her necklace out, will be achieved in following way:
When pressing the end 4' of the lever 4, this later will lift, getting over the action of the spring 7 and leaving the hooking finger 6 completely free at the hooking device 9 of the male part of the fastener, which may in that moment be quite easily taken apart, out of the interior of the 0-ring 8.
Ile object of this utility model being sufficiently described, it must be stated that any variation in the dimensions, external shapes and decoration of the component and auxiliary elements, as well as of the quality of the materials used in the practical 4 embodiment of the fastener, shall absolutely not alter the essentiality of the invention, which is summarized in following claims.

Claims (1)

  1. L- Fastener for necklaces of front arrangement, characterized in that it is constituted by two elements linkable to each other, the first, a female part, linked to one end of the necklace and formed by a flat bottom which is arranged at the rear face of the ornament elements at same time it supports them and which constitute the front hook of the properly called necklace and the other, the male part, constituted by a flat hooking plate located at the other end of the necklace.
1- Fastener for necklaces of front arrangement, according to above claim, characterized in that the flat bottom which constitutes the front hook of the necklace shows on the rear face of the ornament, a mouthpiece in the shape of an 0- ring and two parallel protruding wings which define a support and guide to a through shaft on which a lever activated by an extension spring tilts which acts around the tilting shaft of said closing lever which ends, at one end, in a hooking finger.
1- Fastener for necklaces -of front arrangement, according to the claim 1, characterized in that the male part shows, at its plate defining it, a circular hole fit in order the finger of the tilting lever may hook itself and so lock the fastener or, on the contrary, open it, when it is hand operated and by pressing on the other end of referred tilting lever.
