Abstract

A carrying handle, eg for receiving carrier bag handles, consists of a 'U' shaped length of moulded plastics or rubber. The handle may be plain, as shown, or moulded to follow the contours of the inside of a user's hand. It may be produced in different sizes and incorporate a logo. <IMAGE>

Description

HANDLE This invention relates to a handle designed to be used in conjunction with any bag which has a handle already incorporated in its construction but especially disposable plastic carrier bags.
Many bags, but especially disposable plastic carrier bags, have one distinct disadvantage in as much as the handles tend to cut into the users fingers in the carrying orientation, particularly as the weight inside the bag increases or the time the bag is carried is extended.
This invention provides the user of carrier bags, or any other bags which have handles which cut into the users fingers, with a means to protect their fingers, enabling them to carry the bags in greater comfort.
The bag handle shown in the accompanying drawing would be moulded in a rubber or plastic material. It would be essentially ' U ' shaped and its proportions would be such that it would fit comfortably into the average human hand ( in much the same way as that of a cycle handlebar grip ). The handle would be constructed in hard rigid plastic or a slightly flexible rubber material. It may or may not be moulded to follow the contours of the inside of a gripping hand to improve the grip. It may or may not be constructed in different sizes. It may or may not be constructed to include the logo of any organisation which provides carrier bags to its customers. It would be constructed to allow it to be used for carrying one or more bags. The number of bags carried would only be restricted by the number of bag handles which would fit inside the ' U ' shaped invention.
