Fluid - - actuated valves; fluids, regulating volume of flow of. - A flow meter for liquids or gases comprises a resistance member 4 in the flow conduit w h i c h by means of a valve 5 controls the pressure in a chamber 7 supplied with air or gas through a pipe 8, and connected through a throttling device 11 to an ordinary gas meter 13, the outlet of which may have a throttling device 15. The throttling devices may consist of a casing having apertured partitions, and an adjustable rod 16 with conical enlargements 17.
