229,109. Marks, E. C. R., (Toledo Scale Co.). March 4, 1924. Compound - - lever apparatus.-In a platform weighing-scale, the platform lever 3 is connected both to an automatic load - counterbalancing mechanism 13 by means of a ribbon 15 and to a tare-beam lever 12 by means of a drawrod 14. The tare-beam lever is preferably arranged transversely of the platform lever and is connected to the platform 2 by a draw-rod 21 to maintain the platform level during weighing operations.
