Trawling-gear.-The head rope c is raised during trawling by auxiliary kites g which are secured to the net at a single point of attachment and preferably have a thin metal fin on the rear face. Each kite g is towed by guys k which may be secured to the warp f or, if the otter-boards are connected by long warps to the net, the guys k may be secured to the otter-boards. Additional kites may be fitted to the centre of the head-line.
