228,288. Taylor, J. F., and Seeley, W. J. Nov. 14, 1923. Addition to 217,258. Windscreens. - In a windscreen support according to the parent Specification the arm 1 which carries the screen and which is pivoted at 2 for vertical movements is capable, when in its horizontal and operative, position of pivoting about the pillar 4. The bracket to which the arm is pivoted has a sleeve 6 embracing the end of the pillar 4, a lip 8 on the sleeve engaging the shoulder 9 on the pillar. A wing-nut 3 secures the bracket to the pillar. The surfaces 8, 9 may be serrated, a spring washer being placed between the nut and sleeve. The jointed stay 10 is pin-jointed to the arm 1 and to a rotatable collar 12 prevented from sliding on the pillar by a fixed collar 13 having a hooked lug 15. An additional fixed collar may be provided above the collar 12, the collars 12 and 13 having spring- pressed engaging serrated faces. In a modification the pillar 4 is rotatable in its support, suitable collars and grooves preventing vertical movement.
