Abstract
324,733. Turner, J. Nov. 9, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Anti-dazzle screens.-An anti-dazzle screen for the use of vehicle drivers comprises an angled base frame or support 2 provided at its angle and extremities with pneumatic suckers 3<a>, 3<b>, 3<c> for securing it directly to a glass panel or windscreen, and a triangular or other suitably shaped sheet 4 of celluloid &c. hinged to the base frame. Preferably the screen 4 is adjustable about both vertical and horizontal axes, the screen being attached to a tubular clip 7 rotatable on a rod 5, which in turn pivots on a pin 6 on a fixed member 9. Under the influence of a spring 10 the tube 7 is held in any adjusted position by the co-operation of notches 7b on the tube with a projection 8 on the hinge member 9. At its free end 5<a> the rod 5 may be detachably secured by a nut 12a to a stem integral wtih the pneumatic sucker 3a. According to a modification the screen 4 may be pivoted directly upon the stem of one of the pneumatic suckers.
