Curtains, drawing and suspending.-In curtain-suspending devices of the kind in which runners are drawn along tracks by means of cords attached to master runners, each master runner is connected to its operating-cord by a member adapted to pass freely between guide pulleys or other guides provided at bends in the track, and to adjust itself relatively to the master runner as it passes the guide pulleys &c. In the construction shown in Figs. 2 and 3, each master runner comprises two runners 1, of the type described in Specification 202,798, pivotally connected at their upper ends 2 to a bar 3 provided with a pivoted link 7 the free end 8 of which loosely embraces the cord 6 between the stops 11. A spacing bar 4, connected by a bar 5 to the bar 3 may be provided. At bends in the track 12, the cord 6 passes between grooved pulleys 14 spaced so that the link 7 passes between them with sufficient clearance to be able to pivot and adapt itself to the cord as it passes the pulleys. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, in which the operating-cords are disposed behind the track, the link 7 is flexibly connected, by a chain link 18, to an arm 19 pivoted to the bar 3 of the master runner, the guiding of the cord 6 at each bend being effected by a guide pulley 21 and curved guide plate 27.
