Abstract

226,333. Withers, J. S., (Hicks Corporation). Nov. 6, 1923. Plates, dishes, and the like, washing.-A cylindrical casing is provided at one end with a removable glass or other door 3 and at the other with a water-supply pipe 8 carrying a rotatable head 7 from which radiate L-shaped tubular perforated arms 10. The dishes are supported in a wirework tray 15 carried by a U-shaped frame 16 arranged with a space for rotation of the arms 10 therearound, the arms and head 7 being rotated by the reaction from a jet 11 in bent portions of the arms, or from suitably directed nozzles in the arms. Soap may be placed in an enlargement of the pipe 8 exterior to the casing, and after the soap is exhausted, plain water passes through the pipe and sprayers to rinse the dishes, the water being discharged through a hole 26 and strainer 27.
