Abstract
225,190. Henschel & Sohn Ges. Nov. 19, 1923, [Convention date]. Surface condensers.-A surface condenser for a railway engine is so designed that it is cooled by air only when the engine is running at normal load, and cooling-water can be supplied when under conditions of extra load. The condenser tubes 5 are arranged between headers 3, 4 and air is forced over them by fans 11. Water-spray may be introduced through perforated pipes 10, air and steam escaping by a trunk 13.
