Abstract

223,290. Firth, F. July 14, 1923. Junction boxes.-The cover b and the main body portion a of conduit fittings, such as junction and inspection boxes, unions, bends, tees, &c., are detachably connected by turn-buttons d on the body which pass through slots or holes f in the cover. The body and cover are formed with complementary flanges or lugs preferably to give a water-tight joint. The turn-buttons may be screw-threaded or the underside of the head chamfered so that rotation is accompanied by a wedging action. Specifications 12117/01 and 16631/11, [both in Class 44, Fastenings, Lock &c.], are referred to.
