Fixed - chamber apparatus; with several chambers; valve systems for; with counting and registering apparatus and provision for continuous flow. - The apparatus comprises a plurality of measuring containers, a valve-controlled passage for each container leading to an interception chamber common to two or more containers and a delivery passage from the interception chamber whereby a continuous flow may be obtained in the delivery passage. The pump supplies liquid through a junction piece and pipes 3 to plug valves 5 at the base of containers 16. The valves are geared to a handle 14 and have inlet and outlet ports 6, 7 arranged at right angles. The arrangement is such that one container fills while the other is emptying. The containers are cylindrical with conical tips and bases, the outside cylindrical surface is continued above the top to form an annular trough communicating with overflow passages 26 and a common overflow pipe 27 leading to a chamber 28 enclosing a pivoted signal device. A bell device indicates operation of the valves. The discharges from the containers 16 are led by pipes 39 to an interception chamber 40. Directly under each pipe 39 is the cup 42 of a pivoted lever 41 carrying at its other end a signal 43 with the word " wait " upon it. Normally these signals are not visible through the transparent front of the chamber 40. On discharge the signal shows " wait " until the container is completely discharged. The chamber 40 allows of a continuous discharge through the flexible pipe 45 to the vehicle. A counter is fitted and is operated when the valve is operated. Specification 221,608 is referred to.
