Abstract
222,133. Davidson, J. Sept. 17, 1923, [Convention date]. Hinges.-The lids of teapots, bread boxes and other articles are mounted upon a hollow pivot pin 6 that is secured in the sockets 4, 5 formed in lugs 2, 3 of a bent metal strip 1, the ends of the pin being splayed at 7 over the outer surfaces of the lugs. A washer 8 is provided at one end and the pin is closed by plugs 10, 11. The lid or other hinged member is mounted upon the pin by curling a projecting tongue to form a barrel member embracing the pin.
