221,784. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Ges. Sept. 12, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Fluid-actuated valves.-A valve device particularly applicable for use with very high steam pressures of the order of 100 atmospheres is actuated by liquid pressure derived from the boiler feed conduit and arranged to act directly on the valve. The Figure shows a valve 2 adapted to control the passage of steam from the pipe 1 into the conduit 3 and pressed to its seat by liquid pressure admitted through a restricted conduit 6 when an exhaust control valve on the conduit 7 is closed. The valve may be loaded by a spring or equivalent load.
