Abstract

219,244. Lees & Co., Ltd., A., and Foster, J. W. Jan. 10, 1924. Rollers and roller heads.-A drawing-frame or like machine having a clearer motion of the Ermen type is provided with automatic means for scraping the clearer cloth 1 comprising a comb 10 carried by arms 9 which are pivoted at 8 upon oscillating brackets 6 pivotally mounted at 7 upon the bearing brackets 3 of the fluted or spiked roller 2. Cam wheels 4 are provided on either end of the. roller 2, and as the said roller revolves the wheels 4 oscillate the brackets 6 through studs 5 and thereby cause the comb 10 to scrape along the clearer cloth 1.
