Abstract

219,208. Dockree, M. I. Sept. 25, 1923. Gas supply.-A device for controlling the gas supply to an inverted incandescent gas burner comprises an externally screw threaded tubular member c, connected to the burner and to a tubular body a attached to the gas supply fitting, the member c having a bore of restricted crosssectional area, which is at a minimum at the upper end d and increases progressively at d' towards the lower end. The inlet f to the bore d is flared. The upper end of the member c may be reduced in diameter so as to project centrally into the recess b and enter or abut against the gas supply fitting, in relation to which it may be adjusted. The device may be formed in one piece.
