Abstract

218,356. Unterberg, G. March 6, 1923. Magneto-electric machines. - In an ignition magneto, the primary winding 3 of which also supplies lighting current, a contact brush 25 cooperating with a segment 24 rotating synchronously with the interrupter cam 8 and the lighting-current collecting-brush 22 is inserted in the high-tension circuit and arranged to break this circuit while the lighting circuit is connected to the primary winding. The Figure shows a second brush 28 which is adapted to short-circuit the secondary winding 10 when the lighting circuit is broken.
