Abstract
A phenol-formaldehyde condensation product for use in ornamenting fabrics is formed by mixing approximately equal volumes of commercial phenol or cresylic acid and commercial formaldehyde. The viscous liquid which separates out is heated to a temperature varying from 110 DEG to 140 DEG C. being thereby rendered hard, non-thermoplastic and insoluble.
