Table tops; tables combined with and convertible into trays. -A folding table comprises a detachable and reversible top a, having an upstanding border c on one surface to form a tray. The top is supported by two X-shaped elements i, the bars of which are pivoted for folding. Members l, o connect the X-elements laterally, and a shelf p is pivoted to a cross-member q, projections r on the shelf being guided into recesses s in the elements i by pins t when the stand is opened. Blocks n formed on rebated parts m of the members l fit recesses f in the sides of the table top to keep it in position. The shelf p may be provided with recesses p' to receive glasses or the like. In a. modification spring catches on the rebated parts m fit the recesses f.
