Abstract
215,980. Dawson, Sir P., and Fawdry, F. W. May 31, 1923. Systems depending on the use of static transformers.-In an electric railway or tramway wherein three-phase current generated at the station is converted into two-phase current bv the use of Scott connected transformers, the two units of the transformers are separated and located in sub-stations situated at different points of the track so as to supply two adjacent lengths of track with one phase but from separate sub-stations. A number of units a<1> - - a<3> in parallel may supply one section g, while the complementary units b<1> - - b<3> supply the next section k.
