[Class 132 (iii)] The electrical railway toy described in the parent Specification in which two electric trains on a single track are independently controllable from a distance through two electric circuits, has provided on the underside of the locomotive a current collector connected with the motor which coacts with the " third rail and a current collector or collectors adapted to coact selectively with one of the other two running rails. Current collector shoes d, e comprising a flat portion and a curved portion f spring-pressed into contact with the " third " rail are oscillatably mounted, to follow irregularities in the track, by means of side lugs g in slots l in the side walls i of a casing k secured by a screw n to a metal strip b electrically connected to one pole of the electromotor c. Current collector shoes r, s contacting with the outer rails 1 and 2 in the electrical circuits I and II are similarly mounted in casings u detachably mounted on either side of the locomotive. The running wheels are insulated on their axles either by using an axle of'insulating material or by employing bushes v, Fig. 4, of insulating material. The locomotives can be run in the same or opposite directions by arranging the casings u on opposite or the same sides of the locomotives respectively. Alternatively shoes r, s could be positioned on both sides of the shoes d, e, either both on the engine, or one set of side shoes on the engine and one set on the opposite side of the tender, in which case the electrical connections from the shoes r, s to the electromotor would be through a reversing switch. The shoes may be arranged singly instead of in pairs for each rail.
