Contents, facilitating access to ; partitioned cases. - A case or cabinet. for holding gramophone record or like discs comprises means by which the discs are supported with the centres of alternate discs staggered both vertically and horizontally with respect to the centres of the adjacent discs. As shown the discs are supported in a horizontal or inclined partition k formed of a number of narrow bars disposed lengthwise. between the front e and back b of the case and spaced by strips so as to form disc-receiving slots or compartments. The strips at each end of the bars are alternately relatively long and short, a long strip m or n at one end being opposite a relatively short strip m' or n<1> at the opposite end of the bars and the lengths of the strips m, m<1> being different from those of the strips n, n<1> so that the slots are alternately long and short and discs in the short slots will have a smaller segment depending below the bars than the discs in the longer slots. The case has a hinged lid d and a hinged front flap f so that the discs are accessible from the top or front of the case. The supporting partition may be of an integral character with slots cut therein or of stamped or pressed sheet metal which is folded to form a series of U-shaped compartments, the walls of the compartments serving as lateral supports for the discs placed in the slots.
